Visual Communication Design

Programme

Visual Communication Design (Graphic Design, Motion Graphics) students study the design of both printed and electronic media. The programme consists of theory in visual expression and thinking, information about production processes in the graphic design industry, the software used in making them, practical work in arts subjects and applied professional subjects as well as basic information about commercial operations.

Students choose to specialise in either Graphic Design or Motion Graphics. Regardless of specialisation, the student learns the necessary skills of graphic design and the ability to design and implement marketing communication.

Tuition in the Media degree programmes is in Finnish, but a few courses will be taught in English in the spring semester, for the benefit of exchange students.

We offer students high-quality education in a positive and international atmosphere. Our aim is to provide our exchange students with a memorable exchange period.
